CambridgeSoft ChemScript

CambridgeSoft ChemScript, developed by CambridgeSoft Corporation, is a programmable cheminformatics toolkit designed to automate chemical data processing and embed chemistry-aware logic into custom workflows. It exposes a scripting API that lets scientists and developers read and write common chemical file formats, standardize structures, calculate basic molecular properties, perform substructure queries, and convert between representations such as SD files and SMILES. ChemScript can be used on its own or alongside CambridgeSoft applications like ChemDraw and ChemFinder to extend their capabilities and connect them with databases, ELNs, and other laboratory systems.

Key capabilities include:

• Scriptable automation from popular Windows scripting environments to support batch and high-throughput tasks.
• Structure processing and transformation, including cleanup, aromatization, salt/solvent handling, and stereochemistry awareness.
